I joined Burlesque Chair Dance as a class member in 2021 and became an instructor in March 2024. I thoroughly enjoyed my weekly classes, not for just my fitness but also for my mental health well-being.

It was a completely new experience for me, I had tried several other fitness classes but never stuck to them. I found BCD classes to be different, you never get bored, you learn a new routine every 4 weeks and have lots of fun and giggles.

For me personally, classes have given me a huge confidence boost, not just by being comfortable in my own skin but also in everyday life. I speak up more, I don’t worry so much about what people think about me, and my anxiety has reduced. So much so, that I took the plunge to become an instructor so that I can pay it forward, encourage and boost the confidence of others the way mine has been and create a friendly, non-judgemental environment where everyone supports one another.

My classes are £7 each pay as you go, no need to book – just turn up!
