Hi! My Name is Beth, AKA Ruby Demure. I joined BCD in 2016 as a shy 19 year old, who has never been to any fitness class like this. But as I walked out of my 1st class I felt such a buzz and a place of belonging and never looked back.

In 2023 I finally took the plunge and became and instructor and have the amazing opportunity to take over from 2 previous amazing instructors to run the Balby class.

​

I have been dancing since I was around 3 year old, but what I love most about BCD is the confidence it gave me, as a young dancer I was always frowned upon as I was overweight, so coming to BCD was a huge milestone for me as a plus size woman I never felt sexy, but that’s just what classes gave me! This is what I enjoy about teaching especially as a plus size instructor, I love the joy that classes bring my students, I love to see their confidence grow a little more with each class and make friendships that will last a lifetime.

My goal for classes is for all my students to have a good time, whilst having a good laugh, gaining confidence and making an environment where everyone is welcome, no matter what, age, shape, size or ability! Everyone is welcome to classes, so why not come and join us today, you never know it may be the best thing you ever do!

*My classes are £6 each pay & go or £10 for both weekly classes*

Due to rehearsals burlesque will be 7:15pm-8:15pm from 23rd May – 1stAugust
