I joined BCD on 4 July 2025 at Ringwood.
I wanted to bring Burlesque to Canberra, hoping it will appeal to women who want to feel fabulous in your own skin.
I was a calisthenics dancer as a young teenager and later played netball. I always wanted to return to dancing but never thought I could. I have been using gym for many years now but I got bored with it and was looking for a differnet challenge.
I love how classes can be structured to suit your age and ability. If you have a bad knee, there are alternative moves so you can still participate.
I’ve met wonderful friends who lift each other up and encourage one another. It’s helped me get off the couch and back into life!
I hope my dancers have fun, get dance-fit, and feel a sense of achievement. Women pre- or post-menopause can still look and feel sexy while enjoying themselves.
My flexibility has improved, and my self-confidence has returned. I wanted to dance but felt insecure and unsure if I could do it—now I know I can, and it feels empowering! Ladies give it a try.
