Miss Demeanour’s Fundraising Success!

Today, I stand filled with pride and excitement as I recount an extraordinary event that took place on Sunday, September 15th, 2024. On this remarkable day, an amazing team of 14 burlesque dancers, along with our spirited friends.

The Burlesque Troopers, took on the challenge of a stunning 11.3-mile kilt walk. Our mission? To raise funds for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity that supports those who have served our country. I am thrilled to announce that we raised just over £1,000!

This achievement is a testament to the dedication and passion of our team, and I couldn’t be prouder. The walk was not only a fundraising success but also an unforgettable experience filled with joy and camaraderie. We danced our way around the course, infusing every step with laughter and energy.

The atmosphere was truly out of this world, with cheers and encouragement ringing in our ears. Looking ahead, we’re excited to announce that next year, we plan to expand our efforts by forming three teams: one for the 4-mile walk, another for the 11.3-mile challenge, and, of course, a team ready to tackle the big one—21 miles!

We can hardly wait to lace up our dancing shoes and take on this adventure once again. So, here’s to the incredible Burlesque Troopers! Well done, everyone!
