Hello Lovelies, I’m Amber Ivy
I joined Burlesque Chair Dance in 2021 and instantly fell in love with how it blends fitness, sass, and self-expression in such a fun, inclusive space. I moved from the UK to Melbourne in 2023, a big, exciting leap that also came with its fair share of challenges. Starting over in a new country shook my confidence more than I expected. But burlesque reminded me who I was.
For much of my life, I’ve struggled with self-esteem and feeling comfortable in my own skin. Dance, especially burlesque, became my sanctuary. It helped me reconnect with my body, build confidence, and feel powerful again. That’s why I became an instructor: to help others discover the same spark within themselves.
Being a BCD instructor has empowered me personally. It’s given me a space to express myself, feel proud of my body, and step into my confidence. I love watching that transformation happen in other people, too. My goal is to create a space where women can let go, have fun, and rediscover their inner spark.
With a background in, dance, psychology, and support work, I bring a body-positive, compassionate approach to everything I teach. My classes are a judgment-free zone, welcoming all bodies, all abilities, and all levels of experience. Whether you're here to build strength, feel sexy, have a laugh, or simply do something just for you, you’re in the right place.
I’m known for being warm, encouraging, and just the right amount of cheeky. So if you're feeling nervous, know that you're not alone. Come as you are, and let’s find your fire together. I’ll be right there cheering you on.
Classes will be $20 pay as you go, booking essential.
