I attended my first Burlesque chair dance class in Feb 2024. I admit I was a little nervous as I hadn’t danced in a long time, but the instructor and participants were so welcoming I instantly fell in love with it and decided to become an instructor.

Dance has always been a huge part of my life dancing professionally in shows across the UK showcasing different styles of dance including jazz, lyrical, hip/hop, ballet, burlesque, Latin American and Irish dancing. I’m also a keen body combat and spin queen so BCD really fits in with my lifestyle and hobbies.

​

Training as a BCD instructor really took me out of my comfort zone however it helped me build confidence in myself and pushed me to be better. Now as an instructor I can see my dancers confidence grow with every class which is such an amazing feeling. I’m already so proud of what BCD can offer and I’m so excited to see more women coming to our classes and falling in love with it just like I have!
