Hi my name is Karen aka Kitty Couture. I started my burlesque journey in spring 2023.

I was turning 50 at the end of that year and I was working my way through a list of 50 things to do before hitting my milestone birthday. One of those was to find a new hobby. 

​

Joining Burlesque ended up being much more than that!! 

​

I was nervous about going along, despite having danced on bars Coyote Ugly style in my youth. I took a couple of friends with me, but as soon as I met my instructor Emma (aka Crimson Storm) and the rest of the ladies in class I soon felt at ease and gained loads of friends. 

​

In little over a year my confidence has grown so much that I decided to become an instructor and become part of the team that really feels like family. 

​

It really is the best feeling ever! Who would think you could have so much fun with a chair and a feather boa! 

​

Burlesque not only provides a class that will  help you get fit, lose weight and have FUN, it also creates an inclusive safe space for ladies of all ages, shapes and sizes to celebrate who they are and it is so incredibly empowering! 

I couldn’t imagine my life without it!
