I joined burlesque chair dance nearly 4 years ago back in September 2020. My sister Poppy Chesty asked me to join her class as she had just become an instructor herself, of course my answer was yes as I’ve always loved to dance.

Fast forward to September 2023 after a few strip teases and a big Scotland show, I decided to take the plunge myself and become an instructor.

There were no instructors out in the Lothian area so I thought that would be a great place to start and drum up some business.

​

I officially started my classes back in October 2023 and they are still going strong! I continue to attend my sisters’ classes as well as host my own, I can’t get enough!

​

The thing I love most about being an instructor is seeing people’s confidence build over time, you see them learn to love themselves again and it’s amazing to witness.

​

My own confidence has skyrocketed ever since I started the class. The comradery that comes with the class is unmatched. Of course, it depends on the company but after nearly 4 years I can honestly say I have never met anyone with a bad attitude that does burlesque chair dance!

​

Our aim is to become the number 1 fitness choice for people across the UK, I say people as we pride ourselves on being inclusive. The only people we do not offer classes to are straight men, apologies guys. Everyone else is welcome!
