I joined BCD in September 2025

 

I have always wanted to try BCD  because of the vintage element and beautiful moves , however , there were no classes in my area. So, I thought , why not start my own.

I have always loved every genre of dance since first setting foot in a night club over 30 years ago, my favourite being "Pole Fitness" which came about after working as a dancer in a club. I have also passed an exam in Street Dance. Although i am very new to being an instructor I can already tell that i will love it as i have already made new, like minded  friends. whom have been really welcoming

 

BCD has helped with my fitness as it is something I really enjoy so exercise is no longer a chore. I have realised that you are never too old to learn something new and I am excited for this journey.

 

My hope for those that attend my classes is that they are first and foremost , have fun. Dancing is also a great escape from the mundane daily duties we all have to do, it is 'me time' and I hope everyone gains something different from BCD, maybe it is confidence, fitness, making new friends or just for fun.

 

I am in my late 40s so I am very aware of the restrictions our body can face as we get older, however, age is but a number and I still feel 20 inside. We don't take things too seriously in my classes. So, if you want to get fit while having fun and making new friends then come along and join in with the frivolity.
